Visitors

Last weekend, Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Annie came to visit us in Bellevue. The boys all got a lot of quality time in with loved ones.

The big boys made cookies and decorated them like ghosts.

Shawn and Isaac read books

Isaac played with Grandpa

and snuggled with Annie.

We loved having them in town. The boys enjoy having family close that comes to visit. Grandma always has fun activities to share (and usually eat when we are finished). We can't wait to see them again soon!

6 months and counting...

On October 11 Isaac turned 6 months old....
He is a pretty happy little boy!
I love this look he gives.
Looks like he is thinking...
probably about how he can get into trouble or something.

Speaking of love... I love the pictures my new camera takes.
Even close-ups are taken with such clarity.
And it's clear to see that this little guy is such a cutie pie!
Our 6 month appointment isn't until the end of the month so
here are the milestones as of 6 months:
Very happy
No longer sleeping through the night
Refusing to eat any solids but has tried...
Cereal, Oatmeal
Carrots, Squash, Sweet Potatoes
Applesauce, Pears, Bananas
Green Beans
Rolls everywhere
Reaches and wiggles to get things out of reach
Sits independently
Babbles
Loves his fingers
Still melts my heart every time he smiles, giggles or coos.

This is one baby who loves his daddy.

And his big brother

Keeping life interesting

This football boy made life really interesting on Sunday. He took a helmet to the back and couldn't get up to get off the field. He collapsed at his attempt to get up and laid there with a lack of feeling in his legs. Initially Chad and I stayed off the field and let the other coaches attend to him. I knew it was more serious when they called Chad out. Then I really started freaking out when the head coach called to the sidelines for someone to call 911. I was the one to make that call and then I headed to the field. Talk about scary! We thought he might have some form of paralysis but it was just a deep bone bruise and some swelling.

4 and half hours later we were back home with all our children in one piece. Thank the Lord for the safety of our children.

*** On a side note.... do NOT follow an Ambulance closely (even if it is your child or relative in there). In the words of the Ambulance driver, "I will call the police and have you arrested if you do not back off from the ambulance."

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend, in the rainy fall weather, we made a trip to the pumpkin patch. Thankfully, there are activities for kids of all ages. Our family joined with the Carlson's to enjoy the night.

Isaac is exploring the corn pit. He attempted to eat the corn once... good thing we are working on solids

We took a ride out to the pumpkins and made a valiant effort at getting a good picture of the boys together.....
