Kitchen Tools Part 1

Favorite Kitchen Tools Part 1

So, if you are lchecking out my tabs at the top, you will start to notice a trend within some of my recipes.  I use a "chopper/shredder" a LOT.  It is not really intended for what I use it for, but hey - it sure makes the food yummy!  It is actually marketed by Pampered Chef for the use of making lettuced chopped up or even making homemade salsa.  I think the possibilities could be endless.  I however use it to shred my chicken (after it is cooked).

New Tabs

Check it out
I have new tabs at the top of the blog.

I have had lots of people ask me for recipes so I decided to have them in one - central - location.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my crockpot so the first tab is for Crockpot recipes.

The second tab gives credit where credit is due.  I have found (and tried and loved) these recipes on other blogs or websites.

Check Back Often as the lists continue to grow.   Maybe you too will find something new to add to your meal plan for the week!

Happy Cooking, Eating, Enjoying!

New Adventure (and some old ones too!)

So recently I had the opportunity come about to contribute to a blog that I have been following for about the last 2 or 2 1/2 years.  I don't know why but I have been drawn in to pray specifically for a few families.  I would check back and pray often for them.  Maybe it is because a few of them receive care right here in Omaha.  I felt connected I guess.

Anyway, the blog writer asked for people to help with updates on a weekly basis.  I offered.  I didn't even think twice about offering.  (Like I needed something else to do right?  I don't even blog here often!).  So, if you are reading this and in any way feel compelled to go visit the blog, meet the families and say a prayer of praise, thanksgiving or supplication.... please do!  I think (hope) you will find some families to love on like I do!

In other news.... We've been to the zoo!

In more ways than one!

First - I got to see a kid-free movie for the first time in a LONG time with my friend Jill.
We saw We Bought a Zoo.  Great Movie... Lots of Tears!

Isaac and I went to the zoo 2 times over the Winter Break.
First with his buddy Brayden Persinger...
You should hear Isaac say this name - C.U.T.E.!

Have you hugged a giraffe today?

The next week - we went to the zoo with Daddy.
Checking out the monkeys... See 'em.... Pretty cute huh?

Baby Gorilla

You can't see it well, but Isaac and the baby Gorilla had a moment.  Both had their hands up on the window pressing against the glass.
