Moving on Up

On Tuesday 1/19/10

Shawn started out the night as a white belt

He was very nervous about testing. We knew he was ready and he did a great job with his patterns, stances and blocking.

Chad and I could not have been more proud of him! He did a great job - even better than we had hoped for.

On Thursday night --- Shawn learned his fate.....

HE IS NOW A WHITE BELT WITH A YELLOW STRIPE!

He is excited for new patterns, defensive and offensive moves, and that his is one step above his brother!

Big Boy Clothes

9 months

At 9 months old Isaac:

* Efficiently crawls everywhere
* Pulls to a stand
* Scoots along furniture
* Stands independently for 1-2 seconds
* Jabbers a lot (Ma, Da, La, Na, Ba)
* Has the perma-cold (that nose just won't stop running)
* Has settled into a better sleep pattern (8:30 bedtime, 1:00 feed 6:15 Wake-up)
* Eats 3 solid meals a day and nurses 6 times a day still
* Has eaten avocado, crackers, sweet potatoes, corn bread, along with various Gerber finger foods
* Just started wearing Pampers size 4 or Cruiser size 3 diapers
* Takes 2 naps each day (8:30-9:30 and 1:00 - 3:00)
* Loves the books Ten Little Ladybugs, I love you through and through, and Goodnight Moon
* Enjoys all aspects of music but particulary likes Old McDonald and Itsy Bitsy Spider

Still Laughs and Smiles all the time!

Happy New Year! We welcomed in 2010 by going to the Omaha Fireworks Show.

We ate dinner in downtown Omaha and then stood in the cold

(with Isaac all bundled against me).

Once the fireworks started, I could not keep him covered.

He wanted to see the show and even giggled a few times.

After that, we came home and watched some T.V. and relaxed 2009 away.
