Big Boo Boo

You'd never tell from this picture...

That Isaac got a big boo boo tonight!

After dinner, while we were all cleaning up, he got a can of Baked Beans out and began playing with it. No harm, I thought since he was entertained and quiet. I'd just get the kitchen cleaned up and then distract him enough to put it away. That was the plan.... until he picked it up and it slipped out of his hands landing on his left foot big toe. It immediately turned purple/blue and he was screaming. It took the better part of 30 minutes to get him completely calmed down. A little motrin, a bath and some snuggles made it even better. Thank goodness for bedtime..... he was exhausted after the whole thing happened.

(Now if his momma could get over the trauma of seeing him so upset.... life would be good! I just wish I could make it feel all better.)

Air Show 2010

Saturday, we headed to the air show with Jill and her kids.

Malachi and Isaac played a little catch.

We watched a lot of A-pay (airplanes in Isaac talk)

Z and Isaac shared a little snack.

Z looked cute in front of the big airplane.

When your 16 month old gets ahold of the cereal box....

16 months

On August 11th, Isaac turned 16 months old. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by.

I love this picture it shows most of his new teeth.

There are now 6 on the bottom, 4 on top and 2 more working their way through.

A few facts about Isaac at 16 months:
has 10 teeth
eats and eats and eats (at times), while he is picky picky picky at others.
still sleeps 10 - 12 hours each night
has quite a vocabulary (see below)
is our little echo (says or attempts to say/do everything we do, especially his big brothers)
climbs, falls and bumps into lots of things
gets back up quickly (most of the time) laughing
takes a 3 hour nap each afternoon
loves books, stacking toys, and slides

A cute little video of Isaac that I took today. It's so hard to catch him talking on film. He loves the camera and wants to get behind to look at the pictures rather than let me film him.

The Boys Are Back In Town...

Sure did miss Don (Shawn) and Ti (Chris).

With the big boys back, we started Isaac into his daycare routine and took advantage of the time we could spend doing "big kid" activities.

We ahve walked to both of their new schools, took tours, figured out their classrooms and schedules.

We've been to the Doctor (a lot) to check out immunizations, check weights and heights, get medications and get physicals.

and we've taken a little time to enjoy the sunshine.
