This football boy made life really interesting on Sunday. He took a helmet to the back and couldn't get up to get off the field. He collapsed at his attempt to get up and laid there with a lack of feeling in his legs. Initially Chad and I stayed off the field and let the other coaches attend to him. I knew it was more serious when they called Chad out. Then I really started freaking out when the head coach called to the sidelines for someone to call 911. I was the one to make that call and then I headed to the field. Talk about scary! We thought he might have some form of paralysis but it was just a deep bone bruise and some swelling. 4 and half hours later we were back home with all our children in one piece. Thank the Lord for the safety of our children.
*** On a side note.... do NOT follow an Ambulance closely (even if it is your child or relative in there). In the words of the Ambulance driver, "I will call the police and have you arrested if you do not back off from the ambulance."
