Thanksgiving Pictures

We went to Ankeny for Thanksgiving to be with family. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Annie were all there as well as extended family The Fothergills (Grandma's sister and family).

I had lots of fun playing with my Grandpa Steve. He thinks I am pretty neat! I liked chewing on my toys, but Grandpa did not.
We had so much fun, and I got so tired that I decided to snuggle up with my dad for a nap. I was surprised my daddy didn't nap with me.
I tried out the highchair that has been used for generations. After I tried it my mom and Grandma questioned how no one else has ever fallen out of the chair. It was used by my great grandma and her family, my grandma when she was little, my mom and now me. It doesn't have a buckle so eating lunch was interesting. I had to be held in the chair so I didn't slide out.
Finally, I was able to snuggle up and hang with my Aunt Annie. She loves me! I know that I am lucky to get to spend one on one time with her (since I didn't have to share her with my big brothers).
Next year, I am hoping to eat some real Thankgiving food. I will be beyond the baby food jars by then and am excited to find out the excitement about these sweet potatoes with white fluffy things on them (I think they are marshmallows).
Isaac
A note from my mom - Thanks for the patience in uploading pictures. My computer is being difficult. Whoever said technology was helpful never had computer issues! More pictures of all 3 boys and Christmas by the Lake coming soon!

Error!

I am having trouble loading pictures... tried for the last 3 days and I know there are some people out there waiting for pictures and updates.... I am trying and they are coming I promise!

Getting So Big!

Chris turned 12 yesterday!

Wow! Where has the time gone? When I met and started dating Chad, he was just turning 7 and was in the 1st grade! Now he is 12 and we are preparing to have a middle schooler in our house next year. How can this be?

Chris' favorite place to eat is a place called the Kobe Steakhouse. It's a restaurant where they cook the food in front of you and then you eat and enjoy. He chose a family meal there with one friend over having a big birthday party.

The boys got a chance to try catching flying shrimp. Both of them caught it!

Then we went home and Chris opened his gifts.
He got TechDeck Dudes (mini skateboards)
A Sudoku book

And a Steelers Cleatus
Think he was surprised and excited?
He also got a few model planes to build and paint.
Overall, I don't think turning 12 was half bad for him.

The littlest boy is also getting so big!

Today was yet another milestone....
BABY'S FIRST HAIRCUT
Isaac Says,
"YEAH, I AM SO EXCITED THAT I WON'T LOOK LIKE A GIRL ANYMORE."

Just before the cutting began

Halfway done.... "Hey Mom, I am starting to look like a big boy!
Don't cry though... I will still be your little boy."

Trying to be cute!

My first buzz with a razor.
Just trimming up the edges.

All Done!
What do you think Grandma? Am I pretty cute or what?
As you can see, all the boys in our house are getting so big!
What's a mom to do?

Sliding

Every Tuesday and Thursday night, while Shawn is at Tae Kwon Do, Isaac and I go the Early Childhood Center in Bellevue. It is funded and operated through the military base and Bellevue Public Schools.

It has lots of neat activities for kids, as well as story time and songs. Isaac found a love for the slide at about 5 1/2 months but I finally remembered to bring the camera tonight and catch him sliding all on his own.

I love how he scoots to the edge to go down the slide!

The Scarf

Remember the old saying that you buy kids toys and all they want to play with is the box...

Well, even with all his toys all around him...
Isaac only wants to play with my scarf.
No matter where it was in the living room today, he rolled to find it.
Here's a few pictures of the little dude!

It is cold in Nebraska...
but not that cold and it was about 70 degrees outside today.
That's probably what makes this even funnier!

Milestone

Happiness is .....

Cutting my first tooth!

Life is slowly returning to normal with Isaac having finally cut his first tooth.
It has been a long week with minimal sleep
and lots of painful crying for everyone to endure.

Though you can't see it in the picture, it is definitely there.
Milestone: November 6th, 2009 - First tooth

Halloween 2009

It is difficult to get a decent picture of two small boys. This was the best one out of about 20.

Isaac (the giraffe) and Malachi (the turtle)

I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures with the giraffe. He was just too cute!

Enjoying the roughage (is that spelled right?) Don't worry grandma.... I didn't let him really eat it!

"Is this really what Giraffes eat mom?"

Though the other two are scary almost every day...
we still let them dress up to play the part!
Ironically, Isaac thought they were funny...instead of scary!
All my boys....
