Santa Baby

Dear Santa,
I have been good this year... well at least the last 8 1/2 months since that's all the time I have been here. Can't you seen how good I look like I have been?
Our very own little Santa Baby.

Music in our house

At any given moment.... you might hear us singing or playing music in our house. However, last weekend, after I vacuumed the hallway, I looked down at the cord and found it looking like this.

I promise you that I did not place it this way. I thought it was pretty cool so therefore the picture. Music shows up in the strangest places in our house.

Snow (And Lots of it)

The boys thoroughly enjoyed their 3 day break from school a week or so ago. They built forts and also made a polar bear. I know.... most kids make snowmen. Mine... make polar bears!

Isaac in a box

Why play with the toys when you can sit in the box?

8 Months Old

This "big" little guy is now 8 months old.

At 8 months Isaac is:
* Weighing approximately 22 lbs
* Wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes but slowly branching into 12 month clothes
* Wearing size 3 pampers
* Still not sleeping through the night consistently again
* Takes 1-2 naps a day
* Eats 2-3 meals a day with level 2 foods
* Has started eating some solids (crackers, biter biscuits, jello, and puffs)
* Army crawls everywhere
* Has pulled to a stand once
* Plays the saxophone (oh wait... that's Chris... just seeing if you paid attention)
* Isaac says Da Da Da all the time
* Thinks his brothers are the best play toys
* Is one of the best snugglers I know
* Still laughs and smiles as much as possible

Isaac,
You are such a good baby. We love you and are so happy you are part of our family. Daddy and I love the twinkle in your eye and watching you explore and learn new things. You are inquisitive and busy. We are excited to see what you learn in the next month. We love you baby boy!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

I found the stairs!

Today....
Isaac found the stairs.
We had a gate but it was not installed yet.
Chad made quick work of putting the gate up and Isaac quickly went to investigate.
Not too long after....
We found him on his knees at the gate.

A few minutes later...
He had one knee up and one foot ready to push off.
Shortly thereafter....
He was up on two feet.
Man... they don't stay little for long!

Christmas by the Lake

This past weekend we went to Clear Lake to see Grandma and Grandpa Meyer and Aunt Annie.

The kids had a blast (once we got past the 3 1/2 hour car ride)

Isaac really enjoyed the wrapping paper.
Gifts are over-rated! Bring on the paper!
Opening his very first gift - A Baby's First Christmas Hallmark Ornament.

My mom used to get an ornament for me every year. I decided that an appropriate time to stop that tradition was this year. Isaac will now get an ornament each year.

Probably the best moment of the weekend is below....

Christopher has decided to support the Steelers. He wanted only Steeler gear this year. His number one gift request was a jersey to wear. We had told him that most likely would not happen in our house. However, Grandma and Grandpa are super cool.... they got the bonus points this year.

One very happy boy!

Shawn got a game for the Wii.
He was very happy too!

Grandma even helped Chris make a lake for his Biome science project while we were in town. He painted it an glued it in last night.

On Saturday, we got up and ate breakfast with Santa.
We went to the Festival of Trees and made crafts.
Later that afternoon, we headed out in the cold.
We met Father Christmas on the street.

I was able to meet up with my friend Carolyn and her daughter Grace.
Grace really liked trying to see Isaac.
She will be a great Big Sister for her little brother in April.

Isaac is trying more and more table food. I am not sure he is ready, but he sure enjoys putting the food up to his mouth and licking it.
Looking a little guilty!

Trying out the Jello.... cuz there's always room for Jello!
Kisses from Grandma and Grandpa
