18 months old

Isaac is
18 Months Old
Isaac -
At 18 months old, you are both a joy and a challenge (said with the most love a mother could ever have though). You are very strong-willed, determined and engaging. You love your big brothers to pieces. We love hearing you talk and sing your way through the day. You definitely brighten our day and we love having you in our life. Thanks for being mommy's little blessing!
We love you -
Love, Mommy (and Daddy)

Current Favorites:

Favorite Foods - Loves pasta and fruits (especially uh-nanas and aw-behwees).

Favorite Books - Loves most books but especially likes "I See Me," "5 little monkeys" (nah mah money's um on a beh) and "I love you through and through"

Favorite Songs (he sings) - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and ABC's

Favorite Songs (mommy sings) - Bee Song, Monkeys on the bed, Jesus Loves Me (just starting to sing along to this one!) and Tell me Why.

Favorite Activity - ANYTHING OUTSIDE! This is the biggest reason for a tantrum. If I pick him up from daycare and he is outside, he cries about leaving. If we walk into the house and do not play in the sandbox first, he cries. He loves the park, slides and swings. They are his favorite place to be.

Favorite things to say -
Buppy (puppy)
Mommy
Daddy
Shawn
Teese (Chris)
baby
sunshine
airplane (a-pane)
yes
no
more
up
please (peas)
Thank you (tay tu)
Grandma (ma- muh)
Grandpa (pa-puh)
french fries (fen fi - I wish he didn't know this one!)
all done
stop it (unfortunately very clear!)
He still says everything else on his previous lists too....in case I forgot something!

He makes an effort to say anything and everything he hears.... He has become our very own Minah Bird!

A night in the park

Out enjoying the beautiful fall weather at the park

Going down the big tube slide
Trying to climb up

"I am almost tall enough...."

"... but this will have to do for now!"

My and my BFF Malachi.....

Man, I cannot believe how big these two boys are! I should go back and find some of their first pictures together..... I love seeing Isaac grow, learn and explore but I am quickly realizing that we are beyond the baby stage. He talks so much (Told Kai, just after I took this picture, "I'm gonna get you .... sounded like I duna dit oo.... but totally understandable) and he understands a ton. I just made his 18 month appt which is exciting but sad. I have learned to enjoy every stage and every moment. One of my friends told me.... "Don't wish away today by thinking about what is to come or what was. Enjoy the here and now so that someday, you won't regret being in the moments when they happened!" So True, So True!

-It's a great day to be a mommy-
(at least in my opinion!)

Where did the end of September go

My oh my how the time flies.... I cannot believe we are in the 2nd week of October already!

It is not hard to believe how quickly time goes when you stop and think about how busy we have been.

Isaac just wants to be part of a team too!
Why not be the water boy?

but he also enjoys sitting on the side watching the game
and trying to find "Tees!"

Shawn's just being silly, and he started doing swimming 3 nights a week, plus boy scouts every Thursday.

Chris has been playing football.
They are currently 4 wins and 1 loss.
Way to go Chris!
(He is #12)

and 1 more photo just because.....

Hopefully we will be back soon
(or at least before October is over!)

Isaac's new baby

Isaac got his first "baby" at the store. He wanted to call Grandma and Grandpa to let them know about his new friend. So they sat down in a big comfy chair and made the call. He told them about the twinkle stars and the ABC's. There was something in there about his new "babee" too.

Hope you got the call Grandma and Grandpa.... He had a lot of great stuff to tell you!

A year

What a Difference a Year Makes!

Children's Museum

On Saturday, Jill and I took our little ones (plus Desiree) to the Children's Museum. It was very busy but the kids still enjoyed exploring.

Friends making Music

Z, I, & M

I would be scared too Malachi!!!

He has a hard time walking.... not to mention driving!

Love Love Love Isaac's Face in this picture....

Maybe, if you are creative, you could leave a comment and create

a caption for this picture below .... why is Isaac making that face?

Looks like now the car has become a boat and Isaac is the captain at the wheel.

So serious.... He was actually quite proud of himself for climbing

and then standing on the bench and being able to look

over the edge to see me....
