4th of July pics - finally

These are a little out of order.  I just switched over to the new blogger and I am not used to the picture loading system.... much easier though!  (which should... in reality... make posting a little quicker ... thus making it happen more often!)

Isaac's first real fireworks

After naptime, eating the cupcake that he decorated (with red, white and blue sprinkles of course!)

Isaac's new buddy from that weekend - Adam!
Adam is Tristan's (My sister's fiance) nephew who is 3 1/2

At the parade with Adam and Jacob

"Hey Mom, like my new ride???"

"How about this one?"

 "or maybe this one?"
 Lovin' the fireworks

Super fun weekend!  Love spending time with family and watching my boy make new friends!

bad blogger

Sorry - We have been soaking up the final days of our summer break together (Isaac, Chad and I) as well as enjoying the extreme heat.... NOT!

I hope to post some pictures and updates after little man goes to bed tonight.... hopefully!

They didn't stand a chance!

Malachi celebrated his 2nd birthday last weekend.

Isaac was so excited to give him his present (a.k.a. help him open it!)

Then Isaac realized that the party, cake, presents, etc were not for him.

I mean really.... who invented celebrating birthdays?

Did they realize how torturous this event might be?

Not to worry, the trauma quickly passed and it was then that we realized....

They didn't stand a chance!!!

Isaac and Malachi were meant to be friends.

Okay really.... They were destined to be friends!

and if not destiny

then divine intervention.

Someone up above had a grand plan when these mommies got pregnant.

These boys adore each other.

Isaac claims that this is "My Malachi" and Malachi does the same for Isaac.

Now that we have overcome the trauma of a 2 year old birthday party,

we have to work on accepting the fact that going to see "my Malachi" might not happen

each and every day of his life!

They are following in their older brothers' footsteps for friendship (as well as their parents).

We are lucky enough to have extended our "family" by adding the Ramirez clan.

Having friends like family is such a blessing!!!

I am so thankful that these two boys have each other for friends.

To watch them is to love them and appreciate the treasures these two boys are.

Our day at Magic Kingdom (and a maybe a few from Universal too!)

During our vacation, we were a little less than impressed with what Universal had to offer. Each day we were done with the parks by 12:00. Since we had a whole other day set for each park, thinking it would take 2 days for each park, we bit the bullet and went back to Disney's Magic Kingdom. Disney overall was our preferred part of the vacation. Lots of rides and shows and just overall better environment for ALL of our kids. I would be the first to recommend Disney and the Disney Cruise Line over Universal anyday. (If you planning to go and need suggestions... just ask! I will share the good, the bad and the in-between!)

Moving right along....

We got to the park around 10:00 and stayed until about 5:00. Chad and I were ready to stay til the fireworks but we had 3 very tired and hungry kids who just wanted to "go back the hotel." The kids rode most of the rides with a few exceptions (this was the only day with questionable weather - i.e. I ran halfway around the park with a sleeping two year old in the carrier so we could get into a show before the downpour occurred.) The rain was also the reason we rode "It's a Small World" Man that song gets stuck in your head fast!

Kids all got to give the parents a scare by showing what the future looks like.

At least Shawn "looks" serious about driving!

This one is a little scary!

Crazy driver ahead!!!

Unfortunately, Chris looks too relaxed and comfortable.

This is definitely a picture of the future.

AHHHHHH!!!!!

Well - Someone had to try to supervise this kid's driving!

In between rain showers, we were able to catch a few shows and even be a part of some of them. As the dancers started a "flash dance" in the street (started with one dancer and more and more just seemed to keep appearing and joining), Isaac also joined in. Had he known the moves, I think he would have participated in the first dance. Then the dancers came and each got a child from the crowd to dance. We were shocked at how willing and excited Isaac was about participating.

Making a big circle

Happy as a clam to be dancing with all the kids.

Mom and Dad Who????

Dancing in the street

*** SIDE NOTE ***

For anyone who watches GLEE....

Don't you think the guy on the left looks like the guy from GLEE?

I did and still do

A day at the park

Daddy has been working lots lately (in the middle of a lot of work plus switching jobs).

Sometimes he barely makes it home in time for dinner, bath and bed, so

last week we stole him away for a picnic and playdate at the park.

Whatchya lookin' at Isaac?
