Winter

My "drive" for photos is not even close to full.... so I am gonna give this a try - again!
Our winter has been exceptionally busy!
Shawn played basketball for school - everyday from 4 - 5:30.
Chris has been wrestling on all 3 wrestling teams - Freshman, JV and Varsity (only 1x)
Isaac has been a TROOPER - he goes everywhere with us!
We also prepped for the Children's program at Church so our Wednesdays and Sundays have been busy with that!

Chad is working 3 - 11 so this momma is ready to crash every night by 10 at the latest!

November...1

Wow - November came and went!

I am out of storage space on this blog.... HELP!!!  I don't want to buy a monthly plan but I want to keep my blog - who can help me?  Suggestions?  Ways to be able to load photos?

I don't want to lose any photos or delete photos - I am sad!

Happy Halloween

The boys - Chris didn't want to dress up this year.

But Chad did....
 He's a REPLACEMENT REF!
Guessing his call was a bad one...

He'll be so sad to not get to wear "make-up" on his face!

Cat in the Hat Part 1

Cat in the Hat - Inspired by Grandma and Grandpa's hat
On Sunday - We got to do afternoon trick or treating at the outdoor mall with our friends Z and Malachi.

Batman, Cat in the Hat and the Princess saved the day!

We also took a hayrack ride - around the mall.... on benches.  No hay to be found....
We even found Isaac's Halloween Family.... the Big Cat and Thing 1 and Thing 2.....
He Loved It!

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving 2012
Isaac and I carved a pumpkin after work on Tuesday.
He wanted a star for the top so we traced it and cut it.
Then he pulled the lid off.
 and showed me the guts!

Next was the scooping part.
He wasn't too worried at first....

But man did he get grossed out when it got on his hands.
So we went back to scooping with a spoon.

Love this.... Checking out the seed on his hand

See my Jack-O-Lantern!

Clifford the Big Red Dog!

Um... Thanks to the lady who took our pic outside?
On October 19, Isaac got to go out with Mommy for a little date night!  Grandma and Grandpa bought him tickets to the Family Series at the Orpheum for Christmas.  The first show however, took place in October.

Back Story (I want to remember):
I took Isaac with me to pick out our seats and get tickets back in early September.  Mistake.... He thought we were going to see Clifford THAT NIGHT!  I simply told him that Clifford was driving to see us in his truck with all his friends.  That seemed to smooth things over and he was content!  Good thinking Mom!

Until....

Scholastic Book Fair time at the Local Elementary Schools....
Ever seen one of their trucks?
You know who is plastered on the side?
Yep - CLIFFORD! Oy Vey!

So, about 2 weeks before the show, as we are driving to daycare (at 7:30 in the morning), we pull up next to a Scholastic Book Fair Truck. Isaac freaks out because Clifford is here, tonight must be the show.  There is the truck so what's a mom to do?  Think fast!  I told Isaac that this truck was too small for Clifford, but I bet that he is getting close.  This truck probably has his bed, or toys, or food.  Clifford should be here soon.  Again - that answer sufficed.  Whew!  This boy was EX-CI-TED.

The night of the show, we got dressed up a bit.  Grabbed some dinner and headed to the show.  Isaac was grins all the way!  Mom (i.e. ME) was a sucker for the stuffed animal.  So we brought a Clifford home with us.  The puppets were great.  Clifford was huge!  Think - 2 adult males fit inside.  One runs the front, one ran the back.

I never heard a peep from this little guy.  To say he loved it is an understatement!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Minnesota Weekend

Not sure who's having more fun.... Isaac or Grandpa!
We travelled to MN for the Marching Band competition.  Before heading to the Metrodome, we stopped at the Mall of America.

We wandered and shopped a bit, but ultimately spent most of our time at the Lego Store (see above) and the Amusement park INSIDE!

Isaac chose to ride the Merry Go Round and the Slick Track Cars.

Hi Grandma and Grandpa!

Looks like a nice quiet ride.... till you get to the turn

and then it whips you around the corner and back into place.
Shawn opted for the multi-level challenge course.
I wish I had taken a shot from far away - He was up near the roof of the Mall!
This kid has NO FEAR at all....
It was fun to watch him enjoy it!

We did go to the Marching Competition in the afternoon.
No Cameras allowed... so no pics

East competed at 3:00.
Prelims ended around 5:00.
Placed 7th in prelims.

Finals started at 7:00; East went on at 8:15.

In between the shows, we walked to get some food.
It was the night of the Zombie Bar Crawl.
Isaac thought the costumes were super funny....
Thank Goodness - Since they were actually pretty creepy - Think Blood and such!

We went swimming every day, relaxed with Grandma and Grandpa, and overall had a nice (expensive) weekend out of town.

and to top it all off.... I got pink eye on the way home.
Super Fun!

Breakfast and Books - Pre-K style

Last weekend, Isaac and I went to the Early Childhood Center for Breakfast and books.  We read 5 books and then picked out one to bring home.  He picked "The Cat in the Hat."

You'll understand why.... Later this week!

Balloon Popping

Isaac has a new friend at Church.  Zoey and Isaac spent a night trying to pop balloons while the moms and teens worked on the Christmas program.

Checking out the candy inside

Maybe it will pop like this?

Or if I lay on it like this?

How about a good sit on the balloon?

I think I should roll back and forth on it!

Zoey working on the balloon with her fingernails.

Trying to punch the candy right outta there!

$1 Bag of Garage Sale Cars

Who knew that a bag of cars/rescue vehicles from a garage sale would be such a treat!
Isaac insisted that these cars and his dump trucks went with to every football game.
The rescue vehicles stayed in the "station" - i.e. parked next to each other.
The dump trucks drove everywhere.  They also picked up lots of little boy treasures (think dirt, bugs, tree bark, leaves, etc).
Then the rescue vehicles would come "help" the trucks when they got in trouble.
